Filmi Graph – Deepika, Ranbir, Sonam – Who’s The BIGGEST Star?
All three of them started their careers on November 9, 2007. Deepika with Om Shanti Om, Ranbir And Sonam with Saawariya. Deepika had Shahrukh with her and on Sawariya had a Sanjay Leela Bhansali as director. Both the movies fared well at the box office and now it’s been 10 Years since they arrived and are one of the star performers of Bollywood.
We get to see all three of them getting into various roles and testing success. Now as a decade has passed we have come up with their report card to decide who is the biggest superstar among Deepika, Ranbir and Sonam.
She started with Om Shanti Om and what a terrific start it was. She excelled well under the shadow of Superstar Shahrukh Khan. Soon after Om Shanti Om her movies likekartik calling Kartik, Break Ke Baad and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se, and Chandni Chowk to China flopped but the success of Bachna Ae Haseeno, Lafangey Parrendey and Love Aaj Kal helped her to stay in Bollywood.
Things changed after she played Veronica in Cocktail. She became a sensation, she expressed herself the way she always wanted to. She never looked back after the movie. Race 2, YJHD, Chennai Express, Ramleela, Bajirao Mastani and XXX: Return Of Xander Cage are the prime example of her acting and success.
Sonam Kapoor, another star kid on the list started with Saawariya and was loved in Delhi 6 and Aisha but films like Thank You, Mausam and Players were not accepted and then came Ranjhna, the game changer for Sonam. Khubsurat was another trademark Sonam film and it was praised by everyone. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo helped her to rise in the ranks. Till date, Neerja has been the best movie she has made and she even went to win the national award for that.
Ranbir Kapoor was instantly termed as the next superstar soon after his debut. While Bachna Ae Haseeno and Wake Up Sid faired well at Box Office, Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year failed to bring the audience to the theatre.
Rockstar, Barfi and YJHD worked but Tamasha and Roy didn’t. Jagga Jassos, Bombay velvet and Besharam backfired for him. The last release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil helped him to stay in the competition. His selection of films has been questionable throughout his career.
